Public New Jack City/BLM recreation-area approach. From the central camping area and outhouse, follow the old decommissioned road west and hike roughly 120 m of vertical gain to the post and setup area.
Site rules
- Use the west or southwest-facing side for the documented ridge flight; the east side is described as turbulent and the separate East Ridge is preferred for east flow.
- For a west-side sink-out, use the documented road below; the camping area is the documented east-side landing option.
- Do not assume the wind measured at the ridge persists below launch; the source reports rapid weakening below takeoff.
