Access notes
New England Paramotor Academy documents 15 years of PPG training at a private turf farm in Lyman, Maine. The exact farm, entrance, and launch are intentionally unpublished. Access is through the academy's scheduled course or tandem process; contact Chris Parish at Chris@newenglandparamotors.com or (207) 590-5524. This is not a walk-in field.
Site rules
  • Prior academy and landholder authorization is required; do not enter any Lyman turf farm based on this generalized pin.
  • Use the academy's current directions and scheduling process. The public site says tandem details are coordinated two days beforehand and the final weather call is typically made within 12 hours.
  • Published beginner training runs in morning sessions, usually about 6:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m., and afternoon sessions about 4:00 p.m.–sunset; tandem flights use the first hours after sunrise or last hours before sunset.
  • Do not substitute nearby Sanford Regional Airport or any other airport, airfield, aerodrome, seaplane base, or registered landing area.
  • Screen the actual academy-provided field coordinate for current airspace, NOTAMs, TFRs, obstacles, surface condition, weather, and any updated landholder rules before flight.
Direction notes
The exact field and launch heading are not published; none is inferred.
Safety notes
  • The academy describes the turf farm as a low-distraction first-flight location, but it publishes no field boundary, launch heading, obstacle map, surface dimensions, wind limits, landing-zone diagram, or emergency access route.
  • The academy teaches ground handling before motor taxi and solo flight, uses instructor radio supervision, and makes first-solo decisions only when both student and instructor are ready.
  • The stored pin is safely outside FAA landing-facility buffers and P-67, but it is not the hidden farm coordinate; pilots must repeat those checks for the location supplied by the academy.
Additional notes
Included under the private-field rule because the academy directly documents long-running actual PPG use. It is red for prior authorization and independently club-marked: USPPA lists New England Paramotor Academy as Club No. 9834. The Sanford airport operation is not included.
Map pin (general area)
Deliberately generalized point east of central Lyman. It is not the academy's farm, a launch, a gate, parking, an access road, or an LZ.
Navigation warning
Private club/school general-area pin only. Contact New England Paramotor Academy for authorization and the current lawful field; never navigate to a turf farm from this point.
