Mount Parapoo is a gated PG site on Chester County Solid Waste Authority property and is accessible only while accompanied by the current site coordinator. Valid USHPA membership or equivalent, a helmet, and a radio are required. Published operating windows are Monday-Friday 5:30 PM to sunset, Saturday 12:30 PM to sunset, and Sunday sunrise to sunset. Confirm current hours, coordinator, gate, landfill operations, 4WD need, exact peak, and landing plan before travel.
Site rules
  • Enter and fly only while accompanied by the current site coordinator and only during the published operating window.
  • Carry valid USHPA membership or equivalent, a helmet, and a working radio; no smoking is allowed.
  • Stay clear of active landfill operations, equipment, roads, staff, restricted areas, and every coordinator-designated no-go zone.
  • Use the coordinator-approved north or west face and the separately published landing area; PPG is not established.
