- High-alpine launch with rapid wind and weather changes
- Primary Wallowa delta LZ is commonly flooded June through early August
- Alternate moraine landing is technically demanding
- Tram hours, clouds, lake breeze and strong north components can eliminate a safe flight

North-oriented alpine launch reached by Wallowa Lake Tramway, with north, northwest and northeast components. Landing planning is seasonal and club-managed.
