Hyner View is a public state-park overlook operated for flying through the Hyner Club contract. Current USHPA and Hyner Club membership and the Hyner waiver are required, and the club says its sites should not be flown without a season-appropriate member briefing. The PG rating is advanced P2 with a mentor; use the current slope launch, flat grassy runway LZ at 41.3212,-77.6349, parking, retrieve, event, and park instructions. The park is open year-round from sunrise to sunset unless a current notice says otherwise.

Safety notes
  • Hyner is roughly 1,300 feet AGL and uses WSW through NW conditions. The grassy slope is steep for many P2 pilots.
  • The club warns that slope-launch conditions can become turbulent above 10 mph; H2 pilots should already have multiple flights into a larger LZ.
  • The separately published LZ is a flat grassy runway. Confirm winds, obstacles, traffic, pattern, emergency outs, and event activity before launch.
  • The launch is 8.561 km from operational 4PA5 Ponderosa aerodrome and the LZ is 8.487 km from 7PS8 Bucktail Medical Center heliport; both intersect zero current R/P polygons.

Current signature Pennsylvania PG site retained as club/contract access because the park setting does not remove the club membership, waiver, mentor, and briefing requirements.
