SDI Paragliding Academy currently names Hayfield as one of its common PG training locations. ParaglidingEarth describes a one-mile north-south tow road and a separate two-mile east-west tow road about one mile north, with the area one mile west of Hayfield via Highway 30/County Road 56. Contact SDI for the current lawful road, tow crew, land/road approvals, meeting point, and parking; this generalized point is not a road entrance or permission to use adjacent land.

  • Use the Hayfield tow-road operation only through SDI or the current authorized tow organizer; do not independently occupy or tow from a public road.
  • Do not launch, land, stage, or park on the half-mile grass airstrip mentioned at the north end of the north-south road. That airstrip component is categorically excluded.
  • Confirm current road-control, landowner, shoulder, parking, tow-line, and retrieve arrangements before arrival.
  • Keep all people, wings, tow equipment, and vehicles clear of road traffic, crops, driveways, ditches, and farm operations.
  • Verify current weather, airspace, NOTAMs, TFRs, and the organizer's assigned tow direction before every operation.
