MASA manages Eagle Mountain and publishes the current road, site introduction, ratings, and landing fields. Contact the club for current road/thinning/fire status; four-wheel drive may be required and road access can close.
Site rules
  • Complete a current MASA site introduction and follow club/land-manager road, parking, rating, weather, fire, and landing rules.
  • P3/H3 is the normal independent qualification; P2/H2 use is limited to light southerly conditions with an authorized mentor under the current guide.
  • Use only the three FAA-clean published LZ options at 48.313249,-117.694927, 48.331473,-117.687699, or 48.323720,-117.695851.
  • Do not use the southern published fields at 48.281869,-117.706087 or 48.278691,-117.686647; they fail the fixed all-facility buffer around St Joseph's Hospital heliport.
  • Carry current fire equipment when required and obey logging/thinning and seasonal closure notices.

  • The SSE-SSW launch can be cross or rotor affected outside its narrow southerly sector.
  • Published LZs have trees, powerlines, livestock, wet ground, uneven surfaces, and variable visibility from launch; inspect the chosen field before flight.
  • The two southern bailout/LZ points are excluded from this WingVoyagers row because they are 0.517 km and 1.732 km from an operational heliport.
Additional notes
Current MASA launch retained with only the three published landing options that pass the all-facility screen.
