Cloudbase Country Club insures and manages Dog Mountain near Morton under a Port Blakely lease. Sign the current agreement/waiver, maintain current USHPA and club/site membership, and use the club's key/access process; this is not the closed Columbia Gorge Dog Mountain site.
Site rules
  • Use launch and Dogpatch/North landing areas only under the current Cloudbase agreement, membership, key, and site-status process.
  • Observe the current eagle nesting no-fly area and dates; the published hemisphere can extend 1,200 feet around the nest during active periods.
  • Approach Dogpatch using the current lake/dike-road pattern and do not cross prohibited private, habitat, or operational areas.
  • Respect timber operations, gates, fire restrictions, road conditions, parking limits, and all landowner closures.
  • Verify current weather, winds aloft, airspace, TFRs, NOTAMs, and landing status before launch.

  • Eagle protection, logging, fire, and gate conditions can change operational availability.
