Lake Chelan Flyers manages access under DNR and PUD agreements. Use the current club guide, membership/waiver process, Discover Pass, road restrictions, and rating or supervised-pilot rules before driving or flying.
Site rules
  • Carry current USHPA and Lake Chelan Flyers membership and meet the published P3/H3 requirement, or fly only under the club's expressly authorized P2/H2 supervision process.
  • Carry a Discover Pass, obey DNR/PUD agreements, posted closures and activity schedules, and use the current club road and parking instructions.
  • Carry the required fire equipment in the vehicle and do not drive when seasonal road, snow, mud, or fire restrictions close access.
  • Use only Chelan Falls Park or Junkyard under the current published landing instructions; Lone Pine and the airport landing zone are closed/unsupported.
  • No motors or parakites are permitted under the current Chelan Butte agreements.

Safety notes
  • Chelan Falls Park LZ at 47.7989,-119.9849 is narrow and bordered by water, trees, powerlines, parking activity, and a newer tower; check the current activity schedule before committing.
  • Junkyard LZ at 47.8300,-120.0095 has dust-devil and powerline hazards.
  • Strong desert thermals, rapid wind changes, overdevelopment, terrain, and lake effects make the site unsuitable for casual self-briefing.
