The launch and PG LZ are private and operated through NCSC. Current access is hike-in from the locked gate while vehicle waivers are renewed. Complete the site introduction and obtain current permission before entering or flying.
Site rules
  • Hold current USHPA membership, complete the current North Cascades Soaring Club waiver/site requirements, and obtain a site introduction before independent use.
  • Respect locked gates, road restrictions, private land, landowner conditions, seasonal fire closures, and winter snow closures; hike-in status can change without notice.
  • Carry a helmet and reserve and follow the current club rating, mentor, wind, parking, and vehicle limits for the specific launch.
  • Do not launch, land, park, camp, or retrieve outside the current authorized areas.
  • Unsupervised pilots need the current P3/H3 site qualification; a mellow-condition P2 may use the site only with the club's authorized guide.

  • The current PG wind ceiling is about 12 mph and the private LZ at 48.8602422683,-122.1450552149 has trees, powerlines, thermals, and rotor exposure.
  • Dry-season fire restrictions and winter snow can close access with little notice.
