Access notes
The legacy guide describes entering Bee Canyon from Highway 74, following the dirt road to the multi-road junction, continuing around the east side, and parking at the wide spot behind the launch hill. Reconfirm current road status locally.
Site rules
- Hike the east-side dirt road to the small west-facing hill; do not assume any nearby ridge is the documented LFB launch.
- Establish a current lawful landing and retrieval plan because the source publishes no dedicated LZ.
- Use only in aligned southwest-through-northwest flow and reassess if Mount San Jacinto convection develops.
Launch directions
SW, W, NW
Direction notes
West is preferred; southwest and northwest are documented as possible.
Safety notes
- Mount San Jacinto develops thunderstorms in summer.
- No dedicated landing coordinate is published for this area.
Additional notes
Little west-facing hike-up bump with nearby bench-up terrain. The point is retained as a general area because the access and LZ have not been refreshed by a governing source.
Map pin (general area)
The PGE coordinate locates the small hill, while the route and several adjacent hills make it inappropriate to present as a surveyed launch pin.
Navigation warning
General-area pin only; not an exact launch, parking point, or route waypoint. Confirm current Bee Canyon road access and a lawful LZ before use.
